Urban Earth

Maintaining an existing multi-storey reinforced concrete structure, students developed a mixed-use building which utilizes earthen material as the envelope and interior partitions.  Each project re-examined the potential for this ubiquitous construction to achieve high climatic comfort, reduced energy investment and quality public spaces.
